Yay Before the New Year doodles

 

Yup its official: I have a major girl crush on Patrick Dempsey. And I regret nothing :P That is if thats what he looks like to you guys. I dont know I'm still working on trying to get actor's faces right. 

Trying to establish my style more, lately I've been jumping around and experimenting. But mostly I'm trying to put more...I dont know, I guess more animation into my style so everything isnt so rigid. 

But anywho, tis a sketch before the new year.

So for an assignment for class, we had to do pencils a scene. I chose a detective investing the scene of a murder/accident.

And I also decided to add a touch of scifi to it, a little robots here and there. 

Next I have to ink it. So I cannot wait for that.

So this was my next assignment: a man running down the street in a banana suit. I finished it, however it was really late at night and I really just wanna sleep right now.

Its Some Crazy Stuff Happening

 

So this was a project done for a class. I was up really late. At night. Till 3:00am in the morning finishing it...

But anywho, tis a scene of a couple arguing. Possibly because the chick's boyfriend was being an ass and caused her so much anger that she decided throw bowls of food at him. I mean, I dont blame her, just look at the guy!

SO this was my next assignment for class after the whole "Moody Building Pic". Draw a one-page comic with a person running out of a building, jumping into a vehicle and then driving away.

While everyone else chose smaller cars and SUVs, I had the WONDERFUL idea to choose a semi-tractor-trailer.

I think its quite obvious what I was working on last weekend...

Another crack comic. Once again this came to mind in the wee hours of the morning.

You know when you're standing at an intersection and it has one of those "talking" crosswalk signs? You know, the ones that tell you to "WAIT" every 10 seconds?

Well this is another reason why they tell you to "WAIT".

Just some sketches that I did in class. Well, we had to do them but I had fun drawing cars. Still got a lot of work to do to get better at it. I mean the Corvette looks a little off cause the tires are too small. And the Camaro (sp?) needs some adjustments (that I JUST notice now).

Well...they invaded a long time ago and NEVER LEFT.

Anywho, this was a sketch of Optimus Prime I did in my moleskin after reading Transformers Ongoing #23 and one of my favorite artist Alex Milne did the artwork. So I pretty much was inspired to draw robots more detailed like I use to cause I havent done that in a while.

So this be Rin feeling she is not worthy of Optimus Prime and all his sparkliness.

Woo Update

Yeah, just writing for the sake of letting the little people know that I'm alive...somewhat.

Just kinda drawing whatever I can, whenever I can (which seems to be a lot latley).

Yay for absolutely no social life. And its not going to change much when school starts, so yeah I'm going to be a zombie/raccoon due to the lack of sleep and deep, dark circles under my eyes.

But who cares. I'm drawing and thats all that matters.

Insomnia can make you think of some weird things...

Well I have an explanation for this one. 

You see for the pass couple weeks I havent been able to get a decent nights sleep. Usually due to the fact that I'm trying to make everyone happy by drawing commissions and/or comics. Not that I'm complaining, in fact I really do ENJOY the requests. Just the downside is I dont sleep much...or never.

SO while trying to get to sleep last night...or this morning, I kept thinking of various things that could maybe get me to sleep. Dreams, fantasies, or maybe just counting sheep; it all lead to this little concoction that you see now. 

Truth be told, I've actually been doodling my 'RIN' character for a little while now. Just now I felt the need to exploit her a bit. 

And with a hint of Mewstache Kitty (who I need to draw more) in there for your (or whoever decides to ACTUALLY read this page) viewing pleasure.

Yeah been practicing a lot with robots lately. Every start up sketch is a SOMETHING mechanical.

So yeah, getting close to being finished with comics stuff. The only thing thats going to be a challenge is effectively inking it. I've already gotten started on inking like way back, however I've been flip-flopping between penciling and inking. So much detail...

I'm tired. Been staying up till almost 4 to 6am in the morning (penciling, inking, penciling, inking...blah blah blah). I've gotten vertigo...again, and I still find myself suffering from a lack of self esteem.

So anyway, theres my update in a nutshell.

Back from Vacation

Finally back home.

Did I have a fun time? Why yes, yes I did.

It was chalk full of sun, sand, salty ocean water and the occasional crazy drunk person speaking to you in the elevator.

I had gone to the beach and did the usual, actually swam in the water for the first time since the appalling Jelly-fish incident (I WILL have my revenge!). I had worked on some comics and sketched, though for the most part just hung out with family and went to the beach.

We had some...hilarious complications.

One being that we dealt with "Fail-tent", which was a beach canopy that didnt exactly live up to our expectations when assembling it, yet it DID serve its purpose (after my uncle had tried putting it together for 2 hours in the baking sun). During the week we never took it down, so every morning we checked if anyone with enough patience to deal with the "fail -tent" would actually take the time to steal it.

It was still there. Every morning. Until my uncle took it down the night before we left lol
So yeah, I had fun. I has pictures though my phone is being lame at the moment and wont let me post them.

Vacation...Might Help...

So tomorrow I'm gonna be leaving for a week to go to Tampa. Reason being family members invited me for to spend time with them at a condo at the beach.

I accepted it because I kinda need it. Considering all I really do is stay in my apartment and draw or go to the gym. Dont really get out much or really talk to many people anymore. Searching for a part time job still, yet my hope has officially dwindled to a tiny, withering form, dying in the corner.

My summer (with the exception of heroes con and seeing Transformers 3) hasnt really been all that great. So I'm hoping that this week at the beach will be a little rejuvenating.  I'm up all night as it is, I dont really get to my bed until maybe 4 in the morning cause I'm focusing so much on trying to get artwork finished. I look like a raccoon (or a zombie, whichever you prefer) right now, so seeing me isnt really a pretty sight.

Dont worry, I'll be working on the comic book stuffs even when I'm at the beach. I have to constantly keep working or I'll lose the routine I guess.

Anywho, I am going to try and sleep.

If not I'm going to have to rely on an energy shot for the five hour drive.

Happiness is just a Word

So yeah.

I'm drawing comics. I'm looking for a job. I'm sitting at home, alone most of the time and just either job searching, drawing, or just watching netflix.

As much as I despise pouring out crap thats in my soul, this particular problem has gotten to the point where its making it difficult to even draw anymore. So therefore I cannot keep it in anymore.

If you were to ask me if I was "happy" I will answer "I am content." Well, the truth is I am far from content and its driving me crazy.

Dont get me wrong, I'm glad I'm living away from home and I'm going to the school of my dreams and studying/working to be a comic book artist. Yet right now I feel like I'm just drowning.

Its a feeling of loneliness, its a feeling of "You're not good enough", its a feeling of whatever the hell you want to call it. It's that stupid little voice thats screaming "NOBODY WANTS YOU AROUND! Because you're an annoying pain in the ass!"

Which at the moment, it kinda feels like it.

I know this seems really pathetic. Hell I'm not even sure anyone is actually going to read this, or if anyone actually cares. Guess its just my really sad attempt of writing about how I feel in order to achieve some level of comfort.

But anyway, that's my two cents tossed into the bucket of sorrows.

Photoshop Practice

Well its not something new, yet it is something different from before. I tried my hand at photoshop, and of course its going to be a while before I can call myself "good" at it. Anywho this is the nameless character that tried the practice on

*sigh* I gotta work on lineart. By hand sure, it can be as clean as you want me to make it. Went it comes to computers...I am what they called "Technologically-challenged"

Now that I have post something, I'm going to go bury myself into more comic - drawings and slowly slip into insanity.

Yay for 21st Birthday

He Needs A Name

He needs a name...and a shirt apparently lol

Anywho, so this was a character design that I started doodling a few days ago. Turned into some more sketches and now I have completely fallen in love with this character. Like I said, he doesnt have a name yet and I'm having a hard time trying to figure out one.

So yeah this is him.
